Holy Cow

One year to the day since I posted anything.  I'm such a slacker. I will say that I more than met my goal of reading 20 non-electrical books in 2012.  I think I'll up it to 50 this year.

A lot's happened in the last year.  I lost my job, but it was for the best anyway.  I'm finally being effectively treated for my migraines, Yay! I shot a gun for the first time, and I loved it.  I acquired another cat, bringing the total to 8.

I know it isn't much yet, but I'm gonna work on paying more attention to my blog, and maybe it won't be another year til I post again ;)

How hideously stereotypical...

I mean, really.  Just how stereotypical is it for someone to assume that because I am a female student at a community college, I must be a cosmetology student? 


Granted, I am somewhat of an oddity - being the only female in the electrical program - but come on, just because I have breasts doesn't mean I want to cut people's hair.  


Now, I've got other things to talk about.. like my goal to read 20 NON-electrical books this year.. or my growing collection of ATC's.. or my Creative Sistahs...


But I'm tired.  The whole cosmetology thing just struck a nerve this afternoon.

Starting over...

Well, kind of.

I've often found that I've had something to blog about that, to me, didn't seem like it belonged on my jewelry blog.  Like school, work, all kinds of things.  So, I've started a new one.  It'll be quite random I'm sure, and once school starts, very occasional.
